有机光伏薄膜领域的行业领先企业——德国合力泰克近日宣布，该公司有机光伏电池的电池效率达到了创纪录的12%。这一世界纪录是Heliatek公司与乌尔姆大学、德累斯顿工业大学共同努力的成果，着名测试机构通用公证行(SGS)对其进行了测试和验证。SGS的测试结果还证实，与传统的光伏技术相比，有机光伏电池(OPV)在弱光和高温条件下表现出卓越的性能，亦可以安装在双层玻璃窗上，实现更高效率的光照。

这种有机光伏电池在1.1平方厘米的标准面积上可以达到12%的超高效率，它同时采用了两种获专利的吸收材料，可转换不同波长的日光。采用两种不同的吸收材料有助于提高光子吸收力，并可通过更高的光电压提高能量利用率。由于OPV在高温和弱光条件下的独特表现，其12%的破纪录效率与传统光伏技术(如：晶体硅和薄膜光伏电池)达到的14%到15%的效率相当。在温度逐渐升高和太阳能辐射逐渐减弱的情况下，这些传统技术的电池效率将明显下降，相比而言，有机电池在同等条件下却能提高效率，从而可在现实环境中实现高得多的能源收集率。
