Jack Li, Technical Director in JA Solar Hefei Plant, studied Polymer Marital at Sichuan University.Subsequently, he   spent almost two years on the   research of UV curing adhesive formula and develping encapsulant processing for thin film solar modules. Then, He joined 3M China working on the polymer   material development and application researches for PV modules, which included encapsulant, backsheet, AR coating and light redirection film. Presently Mr. Li is responsible for enhancing the reliability of JA’s products within a reasonable costs. Under this commission, He and his team devoted themselves to providing PV modules with stable quality and excellent performance to customers without extra cost.

The History of Encapsulant Material and Technical Trends on PV Modules 

Abstract: 

Since Jet Propulsion Laboratory completed a famous project, Flat-Plate Solar Array Project, in 1986, EVA has stood out as a dominator in encapsulant for silicon PV module for over 30 years. In this presentation, we first present the requirements of PV encapsulant material. 

Then, reliability problems and some common processing issues of EVA were summarized and explained, including field aging performance such as delamination, light degradation and corrosion. Also the occurrence reason for un-fusion, bubble and light stock issues in lamination processing are analyzed. Primarily, we describe the technical trends of PV encapsulant about light management, thermal conductive and lamination improvement. In this part, two familiar concepts, white EVA and light converting material, are analyzed. 

Moreover, we introduce the radiative cooling and graded refractive index as new encapsulated methods. At the same time, mass production feasibility of these trends has been involved in this discussion briefly.

嘉宾简介:

       李陶,晶澳太阳能合肥工厂技术总监,毕业于四川大学,研究方向为高分子材料。曾经从事紫外固化胶水和薄膜太阳能电池封装工艺研究,之后,他加入了 3M 中国,从事光伏组件高分子材料的应用研究和推广工作。 现在,主要负责晶澳公司产品量产,材料导入以及组件应用研究方面的工作。 他和他的团队致力于为晶澳太阳能的广大客户提供质量稳定,性能出众和极具性价比的光伏组件产品。

光伏封装材料历史回顾及技术趋势讨论

报告摘要:

        自从 1986年美国喷气推进实验室主导完成著名的平板太阳能电池项目(FPSA)以后, EVA(乙烯醋酸乙烯共聚物)就统治了晶硅太阳能组件封装材料至今超过了 30年。 

       在这一篇报告中,我们简要介绍光伏封装材料的性能要求。并针对 EVA在漫长应用历史之中暴露出来的老化失效问题和生产过程中的常见工艺问题做出总结和解释,其中包括以脱层,光降解和腐蚀为代表的老化问题,以及工艺上常见的问题,如未熔,气泡和缺胶的产生原因。最主要的,从光学管理,导热和工艺改善三个方面阐述了光伏组件封装材料的发展方向。除了白色 EVA和光转换材料这类常见的感念的一些思考,也简要介绍了辐射制冷,渐变折射率等前言的封装概念。并简要分析了这些技术的量产可行性。
